Power

Check to see if the switch for your furnace is on (for both heating & cooling)

Make sure that the breaker is not off or tripped
Filter

Check your filter (If it is plugged or dirty, it can cause numerous issues with your system during heating and cooling seasons)

If you have an electronic air cleaner, check to see if the prefilters need cleaning
Thermostat
-
Check to see if your batteries need to be replaced on your thermostat

Make sure your thermostat is on the proper mode for the season (heat or cool)
